Main job function
The successful applicant will be supporting the busy immigration team overseas and must possess a
strong client service focus enabling you to interact well with both external and internal clients at all
levels. This is a great opportunity to gain more exposure to corporate immigration law, further your skills and be part of an award winning Firm.
It is essential that the successful applicant already has some corporate immigration experience, from
a professional services environment, ideally within a law firm. We are looking for someone to join the
team who has a very strong work ethic and a genuine interest in this area of law. This role would suit
a career paralegal seeking a supportive environment and an opportunity to develop their career in the long term.
Assisting with the preparation and submission of all applications under the Points Based System, but primarily Tier 2 including: Drafting Certificates of Sponsorship, Leave to Remain and Visa applications and working within the Sponsor Management System.
File management and some billing administration.
Research on immigration cases as and when required and keeping precedents up-to-date.
Assisting with preparation for seminars and publications.
Liaising with the Home Office and clients over the telephone.
Meeting and liaising with clients.
Dealing with our HR & Development team on in-house staff immigration matters.
Liaising with the company’s offices overseas and arranging for visa applications to be filed at various consular posts overseasAssisting other fee earners in the department as and when required.
