Job Description:

Large FMCG seeks applicants with HR Qualification and 2-3 years in HR generalist position, to join their team.

Main job function

Compiling / updating HR Charges under the guidance of SEESA or Group HR

Taking of minutes

Issue warnings under the guidance of SEESA or Group HR

Creating new employee files

Managing filing system

Updating HR Records

Leave management

Compiling weekly/monthly reports

Attendance management

Performance management/succession planning / career development

Data capturing

Scheduling meetings

Communication of outcomes

Prepare HR / Disciplinary reports

Medical aid administration

Distribution of payslips

Assist with employee HR queries

Prepare letters

Reporting to General manager and Group HR at Head Office

Creating job adverts

Interviewing prospective candidates

Drafting of job descriptions

Monitoring staff performance and attendance

Advising managers and other employees on employment law and the employer's own employment policies and procedures

Ensuring candidates have the right to work at the organisation


Tertiary qualification in human resources essential with 2-3 years HR generalist experience (preference in retail / FMCG)


Strong administration skills

Able to converse in English, Afrikaans and one other African language spoken in the area would be an advantage

High level of confidentiality

Driver’s license and own car as need to travel to store in Kuruman once a month

Ability to form working relationships with people at all levels
