Job Description:

An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced HR Manager for a well-established Engineering Firm based in Randburg to set up, implement and execute all relevant and up to date, HR processes and procedures within the Company.

Main job function

Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy

Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues, always resolve disputes and ensue business legal compliance (in-depth knowledge and working experience with the SA Basic Conditions of Employment Act is a pre-requisite)

Manage employer - labour relations

Manage the recruitment and selection process (in-depth knowledge and working experience in the SA Employment Equity Act.)

Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital

Develop and monitor overall HR policies, strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization

Nurture a positive working environment and motivate staff

Design, implement, oversee and manage a performance appraisal / evaluation system that drives high performance

Assess training needs to apply, develop and monitor training programs (in-depth knowledge and working experience in the SA Skills Development Act is a pre-requisite)

Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics

Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management

Manage and improve the company Level 4 BBBEE rating (in-depth knowledge and working experience in the BBBEE Code of Practice is a pre-requisite)

Knowledge of the POPI Act will be an added advantage  
Qualifications:

Relevant HR related 3-year degree, additional relevant courses, qualifications desired

Experience:

5 Yrs. plus experience as an HR Manager (Generalist), with the necessary experience and leadership skills, be people oriented and results driven, have in-depth knowledge of labour law and HR best practices, have the competence and possess the necessary characteristics to build and effectively manage the above
