My client in the FMCG industry in the Northern Free State is looking to employ an experienced HR Manager. The overall scope of the position is to oversee the implementation of and adherence to of policies and procedures of the company, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation
Main job function
Implementation of the Group’s policies and procedures, and disciplinary code;
EMPLOYMENT EQUITY (EE):
Drafting and implementation of the Group’s EE Plan;
Chairing EE committee meetings;
Maintaining a record of all EE meetings;
Compiling annual EE reports for submission to the Department of Labour;
Advising the CEO on EE requirements so as to rectify shortfalls.
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY (OHS):
Implement an OHS plan for the Group;
Ensure that regulations are followed;
Chair monthly or quarterly safety meetings;
Maintain a record of all OHS matters.
Chairing of OHS committees.
SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING:
Implement a training and development plan for all employees employed by companies in the Group;
Work with business division managers to decide on an annual training plan, identifying training and skills development requirements of all employees;
Submit annual training reports for each Group company.
5 years work experience in Human Resource management;
Clear understanding of the Labour Relations Act and Basic Conditions of Employment Act of South Africa
Strong written and communication skills;
Computer literate, proficient in using Microsoft Office
