My client, a leader in the mining manufacturing/fabrication industry is looking for a General Manager to ensure smooth running of daily operational management of the Company. Must be dynamic, innovative and a go getter with ambition. Must have a Trade background and understanding, must have experience with fabrication, engineering, design, and customer liaison.
Main job function
- Daily and overall operational management of the company (admin, sales, and production), including overseeing and adhering to all relevant structures and guidelines.
- Continued upkeep and maintenance of their customers / clients, prospects, and suppliers.
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
- Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures; and requesting special services.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 and relevant Technical Qualification.
- 10yrs experience.
- Trade background and understanding, must have experience with fabrication, engineering, design, and customer liaison.
- Familiarity with CAD and Sigma.
- Fully bilingual in AFRIKAANS and ENGLISH.
Criteria
- Must be able to work with CAD, draughting packages and read technical drawings.
- Candidate must be very positive, have good communication skills, and must be
responsible for maintaining existing and new clients. The job involves visiting clients.
- Must be presentable, computer literate and bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
- Should preferably live within a reasonable distance (to Alberton) and be able to get to work easily.
Remuneration
R40 000 Basic Salary per month
