Job Description:

A multi-national company has a vacancy for a General Manager: National Operations to be based in Cape Town. Manage the business in the specific geographic area. Position the brand and products, market & sell the services to the local market. Sales, operations, people & cost management of the business hub. Experience in the services industry is essential. EE/AA position.  

 

Main job function

Sales Management

Operational Management

People Management

Cost Management

Act as primary contact for the purposes of negotiating prices, providing customised solutions & problem/issue resolution.

Maintain sound relationships with clients

Stays abreast of changing market and competitor trends.

Work actively with HR – recruitment & disciplinary actions

Regional budgets

Control resources & minimise costs.

Ensure collection of debtors

Ensure good relationship with suppliers are maintained.

Reporting

Qualifications:

Matric Certificate

Sales diploma, logistics or warehousing management diploma

Experience:

5 years sales experience in a services industry.

Management experience with a successful record of managing staff.

Entrepreneurial with the ability to operate independently
