Main job function
Sales Consultant must understand the product benefits and advantages and should prepare sales strategies and execute those strategies at the right time. Eg. Communicate with clients telephonically, in store or via email. Execute these timeously at all times
Converting leads to sales through good communication, follow-ups and positive attitude.
Maximise sales opportunities by dealing with customers quickly and efficiently
Send out quotes immediately and follow up the following day to confirm receipt.
Take responsibility for customer from the time you make first contact with them, to their quotes, orders, pro-forma invoices, tax invoices, delivery and after sales.
After sales follow ups with customers once products have been delivered. Eg. Confirm service delivery like table assembled and that customer is happy.
Dealing with various administrative responsibilities such as submitting reports on a daily basis and on time.
Monitoring the situation of the market, ups and down, finding out about competitors, latest innovation of the products.
Complete understanding about the product and finding out how to market products for different segments. Suggestions and customer feedback to be sent to management for consideration. Eg. What are customer colour and style preferences – Types of furniture such as bar chairs
Diploma or certificate in sales and marketing would be an advantage
Experience in furniture sales would be an advantage
Very good communication skills required
