Our client is seeking a Finance Manager, based in Centurion to join their team.
The purpose of the Financial Manager is to manage the organisation’s various finance functions, including finance and accounting, financial planning, budgeting and analysis, procurement, regulatory and risk management and compliance. The Financial Manager will report directly to and work closely with the Divisional Head: Finance and work closely with other departments in the organisation

Main job function
Collate, prepare, and interpret monthly management reports, accounts, commentaries, annual budgets, and financial statements
Monthly review of spend and reporting thereof to Exco and provincial teams
Prepare financial report quarterly
Compile and continuously update financial handbook, policies and processes and SOP’s Train on financial accounting and other related updates of the finance team
IFRS compliance
Tax and VAT submissions and compliance
Implement new processes and systems in collaboration with other teams
Provide financial input into the strategic planning process, including annual budgets, periodic forecasts
Liaise with operations to understand procurement requirements and manage the procurement process from authorisation, ordering, payments through to delivery Manage suppliers and approved price lists via procurement
Manage income, cash flow and expenditure, ensuring these activities fall within the budget, including authorisation of payments against approved purchased orders and delegation of authority
Monthly payroll processing within the financial system
Finalization of the month end processing for the generation of management accounts Compile timeous submission of all statutory requirements
Drive efficiencies and continuous improvements in the finance department
Overall management of the insurance, tax, BBBEE, statutory and treasury portfolios Manage the full Audit process
Qualifications
Must have a degree in relevant field; BCom or CIMA
Experience/Criteria
5 years’ Experience in financial management or similar role
Must have management experience and demonstrate the ability to lead a team
Strong planning, attention to detail and deliver on deadlines
Proven track record of outstanding performance
Proven track record of managing budgets successfully
Strong management reporting skills and interpretation of data
Ability to budget and forecast financial position
Build on current processes to deliver efficiencies and manage compliance requirements Strong interpersonal, management and leadership skills – ability to communicate and motivate the team
Experience using Sage Evolution will be preferable or a strong aptitude for learning on the job
