Job Description:

A company based in Richards Bay is seeking a Facility/Warehouse Manager. The successful incumbent will be required to relocate to Richards Bay

Main job function

Receive information from Ops Admin Controller and prepare financial forecasts and submit to Divisional Support

Provide guidance to the team when preparing and updating long range forecast for remaining financial year, and submit the finalized forecast by the 8th of each month to Divisional Support

Follow-up and action overdue debtors in order to bring debtors record up to date

Verify and authorize pro-forma customer invoices

Compile Annual Budgets for respective departments with regards to revenue, cost and business expectations

Prepare capex motivations and ensure that quotes have been obtained

Communicate and meet with clients

Identify and pursue new business opportunities with assistance from General Manager

Conduct performance appraisals for all immediate sub-ordinates

Identify and address training needs through the workplace skills plan received from the training department

Ensure that Company standards are implemented and understood by all employees by discussing them in the blue area talks and ensure that updates are placed on notice boards

Review employee potential and growth plans - follow-up on the plans

Chair/Attend disciplinary and grievances hearings

Implement and maintain operational legal compliance with SHERQ Coordinator

On a weekly basis review stock take/cycle count reports and sign-off and report on discrepancies

Conduct regular meetings with key suppliers in order to maintain good relationships

Chair monthly safety meetings

Drive the 5 S Principles in the Warehouse

 

Adhere to corporate governance

Provide in-put into business continuity plan

Prepare for internal and external audits (Financial, ISO, Customer, EC)

Identify and manage continuous improvement projects

Identify and review business and SHE risk assessments with action plans

Maintain customer relationships and attend to client queries at all times

Qualifications:

BCom Supply Chain/Logistics/Relevant Degree or Diploma

Experience:

Good communication skills

Self-starter

Required to travel

Required to work over time when necessary

Own Vehicle

Ability to work under pressure and handle stress

Good Leadership skills

High level of ethical behavior

High degree of trustworthiness

Good planning and organizational skills

Must be able to work alone and without supervision
