My client has an opportunity for an Export Sales Manager/BDM for a major player in the Digital Security space. To be responsible for all elements of the company’s exports sales into Africa and beyond. The exports Manager will have overall accountability for all exports operations sales, process, procedures, management and marketing.
Main job function
Achieving Sales targets and growing market share across all African countries
Developing and growing the brand, Sales, Channels and Penetration rates
Securing existing and establishing new channels for the product basket
Setting up new exports structures for operations and staff based in East and West Africa in collaboration with the current company legal entities
Developing and implementating an updated export and channel strategy
Current In-Market Distributor management & leverage + Seeking new distribution opportunities and partners for growth.
New business development, planning, budgeting, forecasting and implementation
Technical & Product Support development for SSA customers
Drive African innovation ito product development with R&D to develop products appropriate to African and local markets
Securing financial and other support from government agencies for export benefits
Attending international trade shows and designing other mechanisms for gaining market access
Developing strategic channel partnerships to jointly access new markets
Management of all exports customer relationships, including stock ordering, delivery, price and terms negotiations, and all aspects of service delivery
Reviewing and analysing monthly management accounts
Planning and carrying out marketing activities to agreed budgets, sales, volume values, product mix and time scale
Tertiary technical qualification/s
Strategic thinker with high energy levels and willingness to lead from the ground
Min 5 years of related International Sales experience preferably at management level
Commercially astute with a proven track record of success
Min 5 yrs related experience on alarms/access control & CCTV – Beneficial
International exposure but specifically doing business in Africa incl. travel and business development - hugely beneficial
Languages French, Portuguese - highly beneficial
Excellent communication skills to interact successfully with clients, management, internal departments, agencies and customers
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
Resilient, able to adjust to fast changing business conditions and result oriented.
Proficient PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Must have valid passport, driver’s license and be willing and able to travel
