Job Description:

Leading Payments Company requires bright vibrant Events Coordinator to join their dynamic team.

Main job function

The main purpose of this role is to plan, co-ordinate and execute events in order to promote the business. The Events Coordinator reports directly to the HOD Marketing. They are responsible for researching, planning and executing events. It requires coordinating all logistics related to the delivery of events. They are required to liaise with all relevant parties (both internal and external) as well as service providers to ensure the effectiveness of events. Internal liaison takes place extensively with the marketing team and relevant internal stakeholders. External liaison takes place with various service providers and stakeholders.


Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)

Relevant degree/diploma (Essential)


4 years’ experience in event coordination / event management (Essential)

Driver’s license (Essential)

Knowledge of events and logistics management

Knowledge of marketing principles

Knowledge of marketing & communication processes

Duties and responsibilities (include but is not limited to):

To liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure successful events take place

To effectively research and plan the event logistics

Produce detailed proposals for events detailing timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets

Research potential venues

Research potential suppliers and contractors

Negotiate prices and obtain sign off for hire agreements

Manage and coordinate suppliers and all event logistics (for example, venue, catering, travel)

Manage all pre-event planning, organising guest speakers and delegate packs

To ensure proper and successful execution of events

Research opportunities for new events

Monitor trends in order to ensure events are relevant and current

Propose innovative ideas for future events
