Excellent opportunity within the Agriculture Sector, based in Tzaneen for an Employee Relations Officer to assist the GM of HR in all ER related issues.

Main job function
Disciplinary Hearings and grievance handling
Giving advice to relevant parties on labour relations and related acts
Conducting HR and CSI audits
Employee and Employer bodies: Maintain healthy relations with the Union, Department of Labour and other organisations such as CCMA
Coordinate and attend Workers committee, Union and Village meetings and follow through on issues raised
Maintain Minutes of the village and CWC
Consult with workers to update employment contracts to reflect changes in legislation and pay structure
Wage Negotiations
Relevant HR or Labour Relations Degree/Dip
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in labour relations within a unionized environment
Good knowledge of labour related laws and regulations
Knowledge of CCMA rules and processes
Multilingual
Strong negotiation skills
Conflict management skills
Coordination skills
Dispute resolution skills
Analytical approach
