Main job function
The company, a multinational, with forestry operations in Congo, is looking for a skilled dedicated and trained person with experience in repair and maintenance of Caterpillar generators.
Before their power plant was established the whole operation was run by generators which are still on standby in case of breakdown or emergencies. The fleet consists of mainly Caterpillar generators like the 3508 and 3516 with smaller units interspersed on the various sites. They do have a workshop that looks after the units but need a specialist to travel to the various sites to ensure operation where they rely exclusively on generators for power.
The expat will work on a rotation schedule of 3 months on and three weeks off and 4 months on with 4 weeks off. All flights will be paid by the employer.
Qualifications
Electrical Diploma/degree
Experience
Minimum 8 years’ experience in Caterpillar Generators electronics and diagnostics
Minimum 5 years supervisory experience
Must have expat experience.
Demonstrated experience in Caterpillar generator Repair and Maintenance
