EHSCloud is a cloud software application that provides companies with a solution to managing their Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) reporting and management obligations. My client requires a business development officer to promote the application and the associated professional services.

The role is part of a dynamic start-up environment; therefore, there is a need to be flexible. However, the incumbent’s core responsibility will be to market and sell the application to current and potential clients. To excel in this role you should be an active listener, have a compelling sales personality, and experience in environment, health and safety (EHS)

Bachelor’s degree

Hands on experience in liaisons with clients and relationship building in a software environment.

Good knowledge and experience in the field of EHS.

Good ability to lead, collaborate, direct and coordinate digital platform services within a diverse and complex organisational environment.

Produce and implement a business plan that reflects market and sales opportunities for the area of EHS.

Seek and contact potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings, as well as deliver demo presentations. 

Research individuals, organizations, and markets to find new opportunities to improve sales.    

Develop quotes and proposals for current and potential clients.   

Develop targets for business growth and ensure they are met.     

Plan and oversee marketing initiatives in order to create awareness of the EHS product.   

Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events when required.   

Manage key account customers with the intention of increasing the value of their accounts.

Provide content guidance and direction on the EHSCloud application in line with international best practice, contributing to the overarching product strategy. 

Engage with business on a continuous basis to ensure effective communication between management and the team.
