Main job function
Ensuring that all administrative tasks are completed and submitted timeously.
Ensuring that all machines the technician is responsible for, are checked daily and greased weekly.
Ensuring all breakdowns, additional services and preventative maintenance are completed timeously, including site inventory management Updating on the relevant WhatsApp groups.
Follow up on all the operations procedures according to the SOP.
Lead and provide training to the assisting junior technician.
Ad-hoc requests.
Qualification
Matric and or relevant technical certificate/diploma required,
Diesel Mechanic trade test. essential
Experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Excellent time management and planning skills.
Computer literate, including all Microsoft programs/software, must be able to fill in job cards and time sheets properly.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
Ability to work on SKT’s (wide body trucks), RDT’s, ADT’s, excavators and road headers.
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with local mining standards.
At least 3 years of working experience in a similar field with similar machinery.
Valid driver’s license
