CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO) 

An exciting opportunity exists for the position of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).

The CTICC is a premium and innovative company purpose-designed to accommodate international and local conferences, exhibitions and trade shows.  Its world-class facilities range from large auditoria and expansive exhibition halls to state-of-the-art private boardrooms and stylish cafés – all supported by highly advanced technology services.

Main job function

Reporting to the Chairman of the Board, the CEO formulates the development and implementation of the long-term strategy for the company to create shareholder value and promote economic development. Ensures that the company achieves its business goals and objectives and provides leadership and direction to the management team.

Qualifications:

Minimum experience and qualifications

National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business Management or Hospitality Management

At least 10 years at Executive management level

Experience:

Key Performance Areas

Strategic management, business planning and visionary leadership

People management and ability to engage across all levels

Stakeholder relationship management

Corporate governance and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations

Supply chain management in terms of the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA)

Risk management

Business acumen

Capital projects

Desired candidate requirements

Ability to engage and represent the CTICC at an international level

Hospitality and conference industry experience

Ability to deal with a complex business environment and multiple stakeholders

Ability to be innovative and adapt to a constantly changing environment

Ability / track record to provide dynamic leadership, ensure engaged employees and drive a culture of high performance
