Main job function
The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying and pursuing opportunities within the industry. This role involves developing and maintaining relationships, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions, ultimately expanding the company's footprint in a niche market. The role requires a combination of industry knowledge, business acumen, relationship-building skills, and a commitment to environmental responsibility and safety. The ideal candidate will be responsible for revenue growth, performance, acquisition and management of new & existing customers.
Market Research and Strategy:
· Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, trends, and
· competitors in the mining sector.
· Develop a comprehensive business development strategy for septic waste removal
services targeting mining companies.
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
· Identify and reach out to mining companies to promote septic waste removal
services.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, procurement
managers, and other stakeholders in the mining industry.
· Understand clients' specific needs, challenges, and regulations related to waste
management in the mining sector.
Proposal Development and Presentation:
· Prepare customized proposals and presentations outlining the benefits and value of
the septic waste removal services.
· Clearly communicate how your services can meet the unique requirements of
mining operations, including compliance with environmental and safety standards.
Contract Negotiation:
· Negotiate service agreements, pricing, and terms with mining clients.
· Ensure contracts are legally sound and align with the company's goals and
profitability.
Sales and Revenue Growth:
· Set and achieve sales targets and revenue goals for the septic waste removal
business segment.
· Identify cross-selling opportunities for other related services the company may
offer to mining clients.
Regulatory Compliance:
· Stay up-to-date with environmental regulations and compliance standards relevant
to septic waste removal in the mining sector.
· Ensure that all services provided meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
Team Collaboration:
· Collaborate with operations teams to ensure the efficient and safe execution of
septic waste removal services.
· Communicate client expectations and project requirements to the operations team.
Reporting and Documentation:
· Maintain detailed records of client interactions, proposals, contracts, and sales
activities.
· Generate regular reports on sales performance and market trends for management
· review.
Safety and Environmental Responsibility:
· Promote and uphold safety and environmental standards in all aspects of septic
waste removal operations.
· Work with clients to implement responsible waste management practices.
Qualifications
· Grade 12
· Tertiary Degree or Diploma in Business/Business Development Management, Environmental Science or related fields (beneficial)
· Experience in business development, sales, or account management, with a focus on industrial or environmental services.
· Strong knowledge of the mining industry, including its operations, waste management needs, and regulatory requirements (beneficial)
· Working knowledge of computer applications –Power Point/Excel/Word/Outlook

· Understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
