Job Description:

Main job function 

Our client, in the heavy equipment industry are currently seeking the skills of a Branch Manager to be based in Cape Town

 

The role will involve managing the branch by effectively organizing, planning, controlling, and directing company resources in order to increase revenue and profitability of the business. Provides leadership, training, and supervision to all employees within the organization.

 

The role will involve:

 

Business Development:

Develop and maintain key customer relationships

Front line selling

Ensure a sales balance among sectors, customer sub regions

Sell the offerings of service & maintenance

Meet and exceed sales and revenue targets

Grows regional business

Develop and manage the branch sales pipeline with a 3 month horizon at a minimum of 60% probability

Ensure a hit rate of a minimum of 60%

Rentals achieve a minimum utilisation of a minimum of 65% for assigned fleet

Ensure completeness of sales revenue in line with company pricing structure

 

Branch Management:

Develop, train and mentor staff

Ensure that profitability of the branch is in line with it’s KPI’s

Prepares budgets for the branch

Maintaining control of branch debtors

Ensures strict compliance with all company policies and procedures

Ensure that staff use company systems such as CRM and enterprise system

Ensure that service levels are in accordance with required standards

Ensures adequate resourcing of the branch

 

Operational:

Ensure that staff use company systems such as CRM and Enterprise System

Ensures adequate resourcing of the branch  

 

Health & Safety:

Is accountable for Health and Safety of the branch

Ensures that company health and safety procedures are applied and adhered to at branch level

Leads by example in ensuring a health and safety culture

Qualifications:

Minimum Grade 12 plus a one year qualification in business management plus management experience

National Diploma in Business Management, Sales or Marketing would be desirable

MBA would be an advantage

Experience:

Proven track record in sales and/or sales or branch management experience

Experience in sales in the Western Cape region is an advantage

Experience in heavy equipment rental and sales is an advantage

Proven track record in management or supervisor experience  

Proven track record in working with systems

Ability to read and understand management accounts, especially income statements

Strong sales ability

Strong administrative ability

Management presentation skills

Results oriented
