Job Description:

The Durban Branch of an International Concern, linked to the Construction Industry has a super opportunity for a Branch Manager to take control of all day to day functions and activities. Excellent growth opportunity. Looking for an EE Candidate.

Main job function

Assume responsibility and accountability for the optimization of all Branch Resources to deliver to customers in terms of contractual obligations to meet Branch targets

To manage all regional new sales and modernization work with the help of the Construction Supervisors to have contracts completed in the time allowed and in the most effective way possible within contract budgets

Plan, control construction field labour costs

Grow service portfolio

Achieve day’s receivables 

Manage field labour costs including subcontractors

Manage material allocation and usage cover tax, ASD and transport costs

Adhere to and ensure implementation of company purchasing policies and procedures

Manage and control performance appraisals

Assist line management in re- affirming E & S policy and goals for construction and modernization

Where necessary suggest revisions and enhancements to policy and goals for construction and modernization

Provide guidance and input to line management on matters of discipline and accountability

Provide investigation findings information to assist line management in preparing action plans to minimize risks associated with construction, modernization, and maintenance work activities

Provide feedback to line management from audits and inspection to assist them in improving their EH&S management system

Adhere to and ensure implementation of company purchasing policies and procedures

Manage and control performance appraisals

Knowledge and experience in adjusting and fault-finding (both old and new equipment)

5 - 10 year’s Supervision Experience in Repairs

Diploma in Business Management would be advantageous

Qualifications:

5 - 10 year’s Supervision experience

Experience in executing corrective directives in terms of quality and safety

Advanced Excel

Experience:

Sound technical background

Good communication skills and the ability to work independently

Analytical skills

People management and project management skills

Management and Leadership Skills

Adhere to construction accounting process

Meet financial targets as set out by the company
