Our client, a private health care provider, is looking for suitable qualified Electrical Artisan to join their team in the new year
Main job function
This position reports to the Technical Executive and will be responsible for the following performance areas:
KEY AREAS:
Planned maintenance
· Perform schedules and carry out planned maintenance of electrical reticulation, generators, and UPS
· Planned maintenance of Nursecall system and security system
· Updates of planned maintenance documents
· Obtain service quotes
· Manage the filing system for all service reports
Adhoc repairs & maintenance
· Repair and maintenance of all electrical equipment, Nursecall system and security system
· Jobs are carried out within the scope of work
· Problems and re-work/quality failures are reported
· Responsible for all emergency call outs
· Manage all job cards
Manager on-site contractors
· Specifications on work to be carried out are established and communicated to contractors
· Contractors are informed of internal hospital procedures
· Work completed by contractors are monitored, approved, and signed off
· Hand-over documentation & commissioning report are accurate
Risk control
· Safe working procedures are adhered to
· Areas & facilities are left clean and functional
N3 plus National trade certificate (Electrical)
3-5 years’ hospital industry plant, after completion of apprenticeship program.
Recognised wireman’s licence preferred
Knowledge and experience with UPS and generators
Knowledge and application of Occupational Health and Safety act and other relevant regulatory requirements
Computer literacy will be an advantage
