Full-Time position in the Accounting & Auditing sector in Durban South Africa

Agreat opportunity exists for an Assistant Manager-Internal Audit in Durban witha large organisation.

 

Qualifications

·        Relevant degree/Diploma: B Com/BTech(Accounting/Internal Auditing),

·        Full member of the Institute of Internal Auditors,

·        Completed internal auditing articles at big 4 auditfirm

·        Studying towards CIA

 

Experience/Criteria

·        Minimum 5 years internal auditing experience at big 4audit firm/large corporate

·        Strong analytical, technical and interpersonal skills

·        Uses Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint effectively

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·        Ability to co-ordinate and manage several engagements,supervise/ motivate staff and prioritise assignments

·        Driver's license and ability to travel (travelling maybe expected)

·        Has good oral communication and facilitation skills;

·        Has strong analytical skills;

·        Has the ability to assimilate, understand and applyrelevant business principles and processes;

·        Analytical and problem solving skills: and

·        Attention to detail.

·        Teamwork coordination and the ability to workindependently

·        Initiative

 

Main Job Function

·        Planning/ Performing the audit assignment;

·        Leading the audit fieldwork and managingthe project and the project team;

·        Ensuring that the internal auditmethodology is adequately applied;

·        Be able to perform detailed systemdescriptions/ process flow diagrams and assess business risks;

·        Be able to facilitate control workshops andestablish control frameworks;

·        Develop internal audit programs andprocedures;

·        Evaluate controls and advise managers atall levels with results:

·        Identifying weak/problem areas anddeveloping effective corrective action plans;

·        Preparing internal audit reports anddiscussion thereof at a functional level;

·        Drafting management reports for AuditCommittee; and

·        Training coaching development and mentoringof junior staff
