· 4/5 years post qualification experience as Manager, preferably Senior Management Level;
· Strong Technical and Taxation knowledge
· Strategic Thinker with Good report writing skills
· Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
· Strong Leadership skills (people and management skills)
· Goal driven and self-motivated
Main Job Function
· Management Off Shore Structures - Responsible for set up (implementation of best practice), monthly reporting (quality and deadlines) of Mauritius, Mozambique and other foreign structures (Singapore, Seirra Leone); review of proposed / implemented structures and ensure adequately meet local standards (Companies and Other Acts) , IFRS, Taxation, Transfer Pricing rules and are tax and/ other compliant (working closely with Group Tax Manager) and supporting divisional CFOs
· Monthly, Quarterly and Annual GFS Reporting - Analysis (Accuracy and Completeness) of Divisional Income Statements, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements ensuring compliance to accounting standards and reporting of key KPIs against budget and reporting on any deviance (understanding of operational performance drivers key)
· Support GFS CFO on ad hoc reporting and or other Group CFO requirements (Due
Diligence review, company restructures, Sustainability reporting (Auditing),
Divisional monthly performance reports and KPI analysis)
· Interim and Annual Audit - Ensure a clean audit report for divisional audits and GFS audit and that deadlines are met; oversee the preparation of business Annual Financial Statement
· Support the businesses (CFOs): Process Improvement (Quality and Timeliness), Establishing KPIs for individual BU's and Benchmarking to Industry Standards and work closely with Grindrod Group Finance Head
· Continuous Improvement Processes : HFM and IDU - ensure (managing the GFS Accountant) that systems are fully utilised and proper audit trail maintained lead any enhancement initiatives
· Support to GFS Treasury and Group Treasury and GFS Projects team - Technical and other compliance requirements (ensuring e.g. Treasury :all Hedging documentation and/ other are in place ( complete , accurate and auditable)
· Risk Management : Assist CFO with Risk Management Processes (Financial close processes, Internal Audit reviews, Peer to Peer review)
